Not many of my family and friends know this, but I am a huge figure skating fan (living in sunny Southern California, there aren’t very many of us). Today was a great treat when I was lucky enough to find some passes to an official practice session of the ISU World Figure Skating Championships at an unbeatable price. Friday, became a last minute day out for “just us girls”, as CC likes call us. We dropped off RJ at grandmas and off we went to watch some figure skating!
Here is CC outside of the L.A. Convention Center CC enjoyed watching all the skaters, listening to the music and taking pictures.
Although, her favorite part was probably waving to the zamboni driver.
Hi Glenda, I love your blog! You are right, I too didn't know that you liked figure skating. That sounds like something really cool to watch in person. How did you get passes to the practice session? Are the skaters dressed up? It looks like CC had a blast! Have a great week!
Oooh, my first comment! Practice session passes are usually only available to those who purchase multiple event packages($$$). I bought mine for $10 each from a fellow figure skating fan who had two passes he wasn’t using that day (I found him through Craigslist). It was great because we were super close to the skaters, and yes, they were all dressed up!
How exciting! You know that whenever you want Staples tix we have premiere seating and advance sales. So as soon as you know let me know and I shall ask for you. I see photography as an interest to Miss CC... B.
I have been blessed with a wonderful family. My husband and I met 16 years ago and have been married for nearly 8 years. We have two children, our daughter “CC” and our son “RJ". Also featured in this blog is Enzo, a wonderful boy that I've had the privilege to care for and teach for over two years.
This blog is a glimpse into the beginning of our Montessori inspired homeschooling journey.
Due to time constraints I was unable to maintain this blog... Since our last post, our homeschooling journey has continued. CC, RJ & Enzo have developed into amazing individuals. An exciting update is that CC & Enzo will be starting kindergarten in the fall. By the way, there are a few local Montessori elementary schools in our area that we will be looking into for our children to continue their education.
Although this blog is a bit outdated, I will keep it active in case it might be useful for anyone else on a similar journey.
Thanks for visiting=)
